Try google and find hut operators. Going to lakes you not familiar with can be troublesome and not rewarding. One very important thing about fishing that most do not realize is confident. In your case you need to be confident you are in the right area for what you looking for. Hut operators will make you feel more confident and hopefully you can enjoy fishing more... The doubt about sitting over an empty well is not good.
But wait.... Father's Day is in the summer is it not? Hut operators might not help you in this case. Lol.

For Fathersday in june,I say with the walleye.Get a charter on Lake Erie and you wont be disapppoited. For a northern experience, try an outfitter near Elk lake north of sudbury, you cant go wrong.Specs are a very though fish to fish for in size and numbers

Finding specks can be very tough, especially in the summer months. You need to hit up the small creeks and rivers and back lakes in northern ontario. Very tough if you dont own an atv. I would say eyes for sure.

The only problems with stocked ponds is you pay an admission fee, then you are charged per fish. And with some locations they do not allow you to release a catch, so you may get stuck paying for dinks.

I've never fished a stocked pond before, but have payed gas, launch fees, bait etc, and ended up skunked. Especially on unfamilliar waters. Not trying to hijack or debate just thinkin of keepin the oldman's day simple all tough I do see how it could get expensive.

For Walleye, head east. Pigeon to Stony on the Trent are excellent.

If you want to make a weekend of it, mikisew provincial park (eagle lake) and restoule park (stormy lake, lake restoule) have decent fishing. Both have good launches. Also stayed at a lodge on lake wahwashkesh (west of sundridge), caught some Walters there too and a cabin is reasonably priced. It's connected to the magnetewan river so pike and bass downstream if you get bored. Lost channel (port loring)....haven't fished personally but I've heard good things and scenery is at its finest.

Yes lake restoule is a great little lake. Have pulled many many eyes out of there and some pretty big pike aswell. Also have a chance at a trophy musky on that lake aswell on stormy. Have never caught any eyes on stormy only bass and pike but theyre in there
