Took the kid out in the tinny this afternoon. Was gonna do some frogging for largemouth across the road from our house in a small lake, but we hit the mother lode of good sized sunfish right at the beaver damn, so we pretty much stayed there the whole time. Today was all about numbers and the kid was happy as a clam for a couple hours. Truthfully, I had as much fun as he did, sometimes it’s nice to go back to your roots when it comes to fishing, it’s not always about a 25lb bag of bass.

Great stuff! The kids always make it fun. It's nice to see their excitement over a 6" fish!!

I agree, sometimes you just want to go back to basics and relax..

Watch that bobber go down and bend that ultralight.

Well done.

That was a beautiful report. Love the pic's too. I still remember going fishing with my dad when I was growing up. Those are memories I will always treasure... and I am sure your son will also treasure his memories of fishing with his dad.
