Haven't had the boat out recently as it has been too windy, so this morning I headed over to The Notty to do some shore fishing for Rainbow. When I got to one of may favorite spots, a couple of people were already set up bouncing spawn on the bottom, but had no action.

My plan had been to alternate between fishing spawn and throwing a blue/silver Little Cleo.

So I started throwing the Cleo and within 10 minutes, was that something on the hook? Took me all of 10 seconds to find out it was a Musky about 7 inches long that had hit the 2 inch long Cleo.

Initially, I thought it was a little Pike, but when We looked closely at it, it was clearly a Musky. I kept it in the water and was going to take a picture of it, but it wiggled off the hook and was gone.

Lovely little fish with classic lunge markings.

You never know what you will get in the Nottawasaga.

That was it for the morning. No other hits on the Cleo and when I switched to the noodle rod and spawn, no hits on it either.

I quit just before Noon, when it got very windy.

I did not know that bows get that big. A catch like that would make a great holiday dinner!
