Checked today, Lots of snow on ice. further out ice looks like a shattered car windscreen and rolling with the swells. Nobody around, maybe next week?

Probably be a while before getting out in Collingwood. Going to try Cooks in couple of days. Should be good to go.

I drove down the pier to check the ice around noon yesterday, and someone had a pop up and lines set about 5-10 feet off one of the docks.

Have you ice fished Collingwood before? I live in Wasaga and usually head up to Nipissing or Simcoe but would like to try Collingwood? Thanks

I'm new to Collingwood and this will be my first winter here, so I will be doing the same.

In my experience don't expect numbers or large size. Just be happy if you get anything and you may get a surprise if your lucky.

Ice as of 5pm today was a range from 3" with water/slush and lots of snow to a good 7-8" white with slush/ snow in inner harbor. Marked a few pike but no takers. Very sketchy around the finger docks and in the cove of the boat launch.

nipu..think that was u I talked to just as I was getting off the ice ..my names Josh btw. pm me if you need any more information. Cheers

The bay is starting to freeze over in Craigleith right now as well so that should help the inner harbor and collingwood. A nice thin sheet, so as long as these cold days continue like predicted, you may find the grain elevators and past may be more approachable.

A good place to contact in Collingwood is Rick's Happy Hooka. 705-293-1919 and he is selling minnows also..Worth a shot many years of local experience!

No hut operators out of C'wood. Not a huge fishery anymore for ice fishing. Good luck..Cheers
