Going to be learning/practicing some knots before the trip.

Which one should I learn and execute? I see there are many different ones, Rapala Loop, Clinch, Palomar, Double Uni...

Double uni is joining lines together, the rest of the knots you said are good, I like the single uni knot

Palomar! For tying on tackle. Triple surgeon for joining lines. My 2 go to knots.

uni knot for attaching tackle

modified albright for joining fluoro to braid (stronger on slippery braids than uni2uni and doesn't leave that nib of fluoro pointing up which gets stuck on rod guides)

Improved clinch (make sure to lubricate fluoro for ANY knot!) and always FG for line to leader!

Polomar is so simple and great. I like the improved clinch when you have a really small eye on the hook like a fly hook where you can't get the polomar loop through. For joining lines the double uni which is an excellent knot but I have been using the Alberto knot as of late.

On smaller hooks like you mention all you do is put line thru eye with no loop 6 inches, then turn it back and go thru eye again. now you have your loop-simple
