hello members, need some feedback here, what do you guys and gals think of this unit? priced one out at close to 6k, advantages over other machines is that its half the weight, needs no trailer, no license, no registration, packs in a hatchback, 5 litres will give you 100kms Little pricey though when you think about what your getting.

I'd say get one. As long as you have an SUV to haul it around in

Alot of money and extremely limited application. That's for guys with deep pockets and need extra toys. Buy a quad or sled.

IMO, it's a great concept/alternative for those that have limited/lack of storage space to have an ATV/sled and trailer. Looks good for early ice and cost effective to run and maintain.

But the price point is too high as others have mentioned.

As well, if you are transporting this in your SUV/hatch, where is the sled with all your gear going to go? You need to find a way to pack this Snowdog, 2 sleds (one for you to ride in and one for your gear) and all your fishing equipment. only way without a trailer is a cargo hitch attachment for your vehicle. Which means it will get a lot of road salt.

But it is a cool unit.

I couldn't even see buying one for $2k or less, let alone $6k. You can get a good beater sled for $2k. Wait until the Gov't sees revenue, then they'll figure out a way to make you pay for reg and insurance.

My friends landlord has one and cant say enough good things about it. Granted hes spent the money and few people like to admit they made a mistake. They work on land too apparently even float and work in water..... I'm looking to build a hack version for the ice.

i would love to see one in action, i think its a great concept but has as many limitations as advantages over a bike or sled, probably the biggest is the no insurance and registration but at 6K holly pricey. I was at the snowmobile show this year and they were selling 2up Yamaha sled brand new for just over 8K

Funny. Was looking at one 3 weeks ago. I think their worth the price and will definitely buy one in 2 years. For times you don't want to take a trailer all the extra gear. Fits in SUV or ramp it into a Pickup. Design a pull device so you can walk behind it and not work up a sweat.

Looks like a nice ride in optimal conditions, but I would like to see what sitting in that tub would be like plowing over snow drifts or deep wet slush and what would the interior of your suv look like after a few trips?

How do you not need registration and insurance. Its still a motorized vehicle.

Maybe it's like driving a riding lawnmower around or a snowblower...?? or those damn electric bikes that are annoying as ever around here...on the road, on the sidewalk where rules don't seem to apply to them

This kind of stuff is popular in Russia for some reason. And the machine in question is Russian-made. Me? I wouldn't buy anything mechanical from there, except, maybe AK-47

The price is just funny. I bought 2 y.o. Yamaha Venture for around $7K several years ago.
