I kid you not. My grandparents, who resided on Carlaw Ave. in T.O would buy a carp at the"Jewish Market". This was back in the late 60's and 70's. I'm thinking it was the Kensington Market, but I'm not sure. They were immigrants from war torn Yugoslavia, nothing went to waste. Those carps I still remember as some of the finest meals Iv'e eaten. Was it the spices, I don't know.

Lots of people still eat Carp, nothing wrong with them as long as they are 'flushed' for 2-4 days. And smaller would be better as most fish

I would not eat a carp from the spot I was fishing though

Nice tank there! I remember catching carps and catfishs with a noodle rod and boy did it take me forever just to budge the fishes lol. Had to bend the rod all the way to the butt section creating almost a o-shape and even that didn't work

took me 23 minutes, my back and arms were sore

Werner, you got a tuff life there buddy.

You earn your living going fishing. Then you spend your leisure time going fishing.

Yup, real tuff life.

Congrats Werner.. What a beast of a fish.

Well done sir..

I have tangled with a few of these fish in my years, it's like hooking up with a train.
