Went for a short fish for perch on Friday, shore fishing among the group , a rainy pissy day but the perch were co-operative , many caught on minnows right on bottom , I went with my small jig and float .. it worked ..

At that time no tagged perch had been caught and with one week left it's not looking good , most fish were males and the girls were still full of eggs ..way behind last year ..

the best fishing should be after the derby's over , hey no $500 but great eating fish ...

Tally .. caught approx 80 kept 30 ... YUMM

Now the cleaning .. figure it's about a two beer job ..

Nice report Dave .

Been dreaming about a good feed of perch. But I did have my last white fish yesterday with dad to get my fish fix.

Also , I didnít make it last week due to the rain.

Sometime this week after work i will give you a buzz, shoot up for beer .

Beer goes down better when you slow the cleaning process ... lol

Great job dave!

Check your inbox I pm'd you a while ago about some plastics we talked about, maybe they'll secure your tagged fish for your next outing.

Nice Dave.
Yes everything seems to be behind schedule this year. Water at smelt ground was only at 39F this weekend. Not good. Traveled twice with nothing to show.
