holy smokes, my buddy caught this lady today - picture dosnt do her justice, she was massive - my eyes couldnt take her all in. Spinner bait, heavy braid!!! A few rookie moves, she wasnt ready to come in the boat but she was barely on the trailer hook, I couldnt keep her in the net because of the length - we took a shaky measurement - I would say 56 with a +/- of 2 inches - I have never felt the weight of a musky like this, couldnt carry her in the net! I didnt mess about with a lot of pics, wanted her back in the water asap - thank gawd for the lipper grabber deal!!! I am having a pint...

Congrats on a beast!

I noticed she doesn't have the usual bars on her sides, more spotted. Odd coloration for the Kawarthas.
Great pics, great post.

This is why we keep fishing.

Cheers,

Absolutely awesome muskie - size and and beautifully marked. A catch that will be tough for you to beat in the future - but have fun trying!

Wow wicked pic and amazing colors - I was twitchin my toes swimin (in Pigeon) today hoping that giant never latched on!! Water temp was anywhere from 72-76 today a warm one and not much to show for the effort, not sure if the 200 boats on the water helped! Tried trolling small , medium and large rapalas, tried drifting with that wicked south wind with some favorite worm harnesses and some beauty bucktails to no avail! Had a couple nice bites a couple swirls in and around the boat but nothin! Good on ya with that beast some of the best colors I have seen!! BTW what Kawartha lake??
cheers,
hookum
