This is the second time that I have fished Madagascar. We caught so many different species of fish and so many fish. All were caught, photographed and released except for a few that we kept for dinner. Great adventure, great experience, great part of the world to see. The poverty of the local indigenous people was shocking. No running water, no proper toilet facilities, very few worldly possessions except the clothes that they wore. We truly live in paradise!

Barracuda. This is an amazing predatory fish. Saw a couple of them launching themselves more than 10 feet into the air trying to grab a flying tern! They both missed grabbing the bird but was fascinating to see all the same.

The boat for 6 days of fishing was US$10,600 for the 6 of us. The flights are a killer as you need to fly to Johannesburg, then a flight to Madagascar then a charter plane to where the catamaran is docked.

Beautiful fish. I envy you. Those pic's make me want to get out fishing in Ontario and try to reel in some of ferocious-fighting trophy bluegills on a red-and-white bobber. But it's not the same!
