So there's a post for fiddle heads, and a post for morels; but I had both with my ribeye and baked potato last night! Fiddle heads were from my own front yard, and morels scavenged by a friend.

The Captain wasn't there but I had another, more altruistic guest with me; St. Remy.

Looks like a fabulous meal. I am sure you enjoyed it. As for me, this weekend I will be feasting on last year's grouse, some Kale crisps and mash potatoes.

Looks delicious! I had a steak and fiddleheads this week but it didn't look as good as that one! Yum, living large.

Thanks deerhunter! I take my steak cooking very seriously. That one was actually pan seared in a carbon steel pan on the stove top.

Grouse is the best bird out there to eat IMHO.
