What are the odds of catching a Muskie through the ice on Nipissing?

Almost zero, but it does happen occasionally as a fluke.

I caught a juvenile Muskie two years ago while we were packing up. It can happen!

100% this is a juvenile pike. Tigers have more of a light body/dark bars on them. Google ďsmall northern pikeĒ, youíll see lots of pics that look exactly like that one.
Hereís one of many tigers Iíve caught over the years.

You right. Not a tiger Muskie! Itís deff a barred Muskie or a pike. Hard to tell. Iím looking at the pattern/fins. They seem to be pointed but I looked into young Muskie and like. They all look different.

Since juvenile pike can actually look like a musky, I just read the pores under the jaw is how to 100% identify them. 5 or fewer means itís a northern. Now. I wish I looked. Iíll just have to catch the same fish this year
