I am trying to get more into ice fishing and want a new sled to tow behind the atv, but most of the tow bars i see have a verticle pin attachment anf am not sure how i could hook it up to a regular hitch.

Thanks.

You mean a regular towbar like on a car? I have both, if you want a pic I can attach one.

Go on Amazon they have the hitch that will work I just bought one came in a few days and less that $25. Allows you to use a pin or ball or even a hook. Go check it out.

Get rid of the pin and use a large style snap ring. Remove the ball from the receiver and attach it there,or you can simply attach off to the side where you normally put the trailer safety chains.
Hope this makes sense.

I found a 25 bucks on on amazon, comes with a ball and a verticle hole.

Thank you.

typically the ball can be removed easily and reinstalled... it has a threaded end with a nut beneath receiver...

i had to do the same with my quad for hunting/fishing before i had a sled.

The hole in this adapter plate is for the hitch ball to fasten it to the ATV -- so you have both. Same.
Good luck with this.
