We have only fished through the overnight on the HW a handful of times.
We hooked into a whitefish once.

I have heard that the overnight is better for whities. however general public opinions seem to be mixed.

If I were going to attempt an overnight trip again id probably be adding scents, making noise with rattle baits occasionally, Id try glow baits & if using live bait,, keep it fresh.

Bring a pillow just in case and lotsacoffee.

Hopefully, your lines will be as tight as >>>>

Looking forward to your post with the results !!

Try chumming. You may bring in some ling. I use salted minnows for chum and glow in the dark spoons tipped with a fresh minnow. Bang the spoon on the bottom. Donít lift it more than a foot from bottom. Good luck.

Bring a good and safe heat source. It gets really cold on the ice when the sun goes down.
