Has anyone been to the west arm lately, more specifically sucker creek and warrens Bay Area? We are trying to plan our work weekend but have no clue when the ice will be out to get to the island. It’s suppose to be nice and warm and sunny this coming week. Hopefully that gets things started.

we have a bit quicker thaw because the water is moving, in the narrows its been open for a bit and shouldn't be long after next week with the rain and the weather for everything to open up. sucker creek is good and although I haven't been out as far as warren bay I can almost guarantee by this time next week it will be good.
The narrows around hwy 64 is open as is the narrows exiting/entering? Warrens Bay but pretty much ice everywhere else.
Pic today

Yes, was pretty solid on Sunday! Looked like could easily still drive a sled out there! I think it'll start to go quickly though now with the forecast. Down towards Parry Sound things are starting to open up, so it's coming eventually!

Great pictures......but I think I would get a better sense of how the thaw was going if I was in the cockpit with you. Jk. The weather is looking pretty nice up there this coming week. I normally don’t see that many days in a row without rain even in the middle of summer. It never fails that the weekends we come up there it’s raining. But I would take a wet day on the lake over a dry day in the office anytime. Thanks again everyone for all the great information.
