Does anyone have any perspective on fishing the Martin River? We are thinking of trying that area out for our next fishing trip. Lodge recommendations? Thanks.

Rock Pine .
Fishing is awesome in around that area . Nice size pike and walleye . Can’t remember the owners name I had his Business card . I’m sure google will help you find that .
Great guy and awesome little restaurant on the Rock Pile .
He will guide you in the right direction for fish.

I second the Rock Pine comments.....a wealth of knowledge and a good resource for the area for sure. Make sure you ask them for maps...they have a few that show rocks, fish, camping, etc.
I have done Lake Wicksteed a few times....I didn't catch any large fish, but fun for sure. Only camping there on the islands and some other land spots (crown land). Kids and dogs have a blast if you are bringing any. The launch at the dam is not ideal for larger boats (i.e. 18ft and larger).
Enjoy the area....beautiful country up that way...one of my favs!
