Going up fishing this weekend. Been thinking about setting up a slip-bobber rig for walleye. Never used this setup before. Just wondering if this is a good way to fish for walleye in June in Northern Ontario? Or are there other more effective ways. (Will be fishing 100 km south of Timmins.)

Never used them on Nip, waters usually to rough for me to get much use out of a bobber. I usually just use a weighted jig and drop to the bottom, then pull up a couple feet or more depending on where the fish are.

I find worm harnesses my most successful. Trolling with split shot to get to depth you want. Where are you off to. We go to that area every year for 20 years?

I have used slip floats very successfully for suspended mid-lake walleye.
