Nice meeting you today Jayg79. After you guys left and I moved to my other spot I finally found some fish that were willing to give a proper bite and caught about a dozen before packing it up around 11:30. Mix of crappie perch and bluegills. One perch and two crappies were big enough to be worth keeping the rest were dinks. Fish were caught in 5-6ft of water. While the ice was thick enough for my comfort, it still has a long ways to go. In most of the holes I drilled there was about 1-1 1/2" of white ice (last weeks snow melt refrozen) and the black ice underneath was roughly the same thickness as the height of my transducer.

Was nice to get the itch scratched and it was my first chance to get out fishing since labour day weekend, so I was long overdue!

Hope everyone has a great holidays and stay safe!

So nice! First time out since our trip. It was very peaceful out there today no machines, just Jays group and one other out in sight the whole time I was there. Just what I needed before the craziness of the holidays.

Hope you have a great Christmas and happy new year!
