Good luck! What area(s) of the bay are you fishing? Targeting anything specific?

Thanks all!

Have been chasing the elusive Musky for most of the time so far... and doing poorly I might add! Lol

I’ve heard that this lake and Musky fishing can be frustrating. I have not tossed in the towel yet, but have certainly taken some breaks to catch some pike, bass, and walleye.

The sunset was the big catch yesterday... much better than the bass, pike, and walleye! Lol

Hopefully I can add a musky to the list before the weeks out!

Good luck! Never easy to find musky given the vast space they can move... but the monsters are there. Nothing wrong with a few pike and walleye for the fish fry in the mean time!

Enjoy!

Another tough day on the hunt. Had one good mid 40” follow, but couldn’t coax her to bite. Will be back in an area I think holds a few fish tomorrow.

Just a shot of beautiful Georgian Bay. Exploring uncharted waters.

2nd last day in GB started early with a 4:30am alarm and on the water for 5.

Blasted 15 minutes to what is the Musky playground according to knowledgeable folks. Trolled and casted a bunch with no luck, so headed to the spot I had a follow. Unfortunately she saw me before I saw her, and I spooked her before I could fire a direct cast... she waved her tail goodbye as she faded to the depths.

Took a few hours off in the afternoon to regain my energy and focus... and rest my Popeye arms from a week of tossing big baits lol.

Went out around 6PM to hit it hard... started with a large spinnerbait to warm my muscles up before moving to double 8s... (it takes about 15 minutes before my arms get numb and I can reel without feeling like they are going to fall off - on fire!)

Found a good pattern and was hitting pike one after another, and a few bass mixed in. Had 3 cases of double monster pike follows, countless big pike follows, and 3 muskie follows. All this in a matter of a few hours.

Best day so far, but still no Muskies in the boat.

1 day left to make it rain!

A morning shot... Sun up... Rod down.

Had a great vacation even though the Muskies decided to send me home with a skunk! Haha

Found a bunch of prime spots throughout the week, so at least I can head back for a day or two and hit what should be productive water.

Next time Mr. Musky... next time...
Mwuhahahahaaaa!

Closing shot of the location... for those that want to know.
