QUOTE (Mikefishing @ Jul 06, 2018 - 07:16 am)
I've had success running worm harnesses in the 15 to 18 foot depths, about 1.5 mph. Greens blues and white seem to work for me. Running over structure and weed beds is also helpful. We get a lot of small fish too, released as many under slot as over. Take lots of worms all those bluegills, rock bass and regular bass also like that presentation. Those 27" plus fish are not super common, those are he biggest we've caught in 11 years fishing the lake. I think luck has a lot to do with it!

I second what Mike had said - lots of small fish (in 1-2 lb range) as well for us and this bigger one was definitely a pleasant surprise.

We were casting 8-10 ft weedlines adjacent to deeper water. Fish was caught on jigs with twisters, rubber worms and also deeper running jerkbaits.
