> Walleye on a Jake, Sunday

went Muskie fishing on Sturgeon Lake on Sunday no fish other than a 24' walleye on a Jake lure. great on the water anyway.

Nice looking Wally. I've had the same thing happened to me on Balsam but I was throwing a Bucktail. I honestly thought I was bringing in weeds...lol

Most of my Kawartha fish over 24” have came on muskie baits, bucktails, bucktail spinner bait, suick, bobbie bait, and of all things, a23” on a top water jackpot, some big largies too

Nice fish Jim I guess if you don't have Kitch along for your net man you can't catch muskies Don't get those Muskies all sore mouthed , my son and I will be up in the fall . Thanks for the report

nice walleye!
Ive had the same for bass. my Kawartha PB bass was a largie slightly over 5 pounds. caught it on a 13" live target sucker while muskie fishing.

My sister's fiancée got a 28" balsam walleye on a hose jerk.
my pb kawartha walleye came on a jig head with 3 gulp maggots on it, while bluegill fishing. dropped it down bounced off a rock 3 times, smack! 28" walleye. GF was mad. she was gill fishing, and I was throwing muskie baits. I put my rod down after 4 hours because "I needed a tight line." took a grand total of 5 seconds from hook baiting to hook up.
