Havn't been out in the Bay yet but I've been hitting the perch and eyes out from sunset almost equally in the past week except today was all perch and no walters.

I've been catching some good sized perch this year, yesterday I caught my biggest ever I think.. didn't measure it but it must be around 40cm.
Cheers,
Drew

Yea your probably right, I was trying to compare it in my head to a walleye I caught earlier that was 42cm.. it was probably actually more like 35 or something. I should have measured it, like I said the biggest I've seen but I'm no pro.
Cheers,
Drew

Definitely possible. Simcoe has 15" perch and 13" perch aren't uncommon... The big girls are definitely out there

How far off sunset are you, I'm dying to get into a good perch bite. I was 3.5km out from sunset in 30ft on Sunday and all walleye not one perch!! Looking to take my little man out and would like to keep a steady bite going for him!! Used to crack them off Amelia but I havnt seen them there this year, not many around there atm!!

good info as I was deciding to go out to 30 or back in to 15ft for perch. Not far from shore is 15ft ,just look for some shacks.I have been hearing the last few years that towards the Motherhouse has been real good for Perch.

Hey all! The perch yesterday was 100% at least 12 inches. I think its still in my freezer, I'll measure it and take pics later when I filet it for supper.

I'm fishing out from sunset near the first cluster of shacks in only around 12 feet of water. I find for the most part where I am the perch and eyes are hitting at the same frequency except for yesterday when I caught all perch. All the walters that do hit are below 40cm though, most below 30. The perch are fun to catch and in the last week I've spent 48+ solid hours out there and havn't went over an hour at any point without hooking at least 1 fish.

I believe you on the perch size! I caught a 13 incher off the waterfront the other day. New PB for me. But I have seen 15 inchers come off Simcoe so I'm sure its possible on Nip as well.
