QUOTE (BlackCrowe13 @ Jun 01, 2018 - 09:30 am)
Tomorrow at this time... Musky fishing is ON!

just 11 more hours till it OFFICIALLY OPENS! I tried to convince my dad to head to balsam, but he likes to take the afternoon off from fishing and my sister practically lives on pigeon so we are going there. cant wait to see pics of opener catches (hopefully posting one as well). the current weather doesn't give me high hopes though... rain today usually puts them off the next day... maybe the rain rolling in for sunday will spike a late afternoon bite!

Good luck and stay safe tomorrow! hope everyone's dental skills aren't rusty!

My last experience with a musky last year was a 45 incher i got at the boat on a figure 8 with double 10 blades. she jumped non stop and after several seconds threw the hooks and broke my lure. That image has been haunting me for almost a year now. Hopefully i can get one tomorrow

Unfortunately, I will be missing opener tomorrow. My friend I was supposed to go with got his boat out of storage today and it was ripped apart by raccoons or something alike.

Good luck to those who make it out tomorrow. Looking forward to reading your reports

Well got to balsam at 530 and the waves were crazy, hid out in some calm water but not my usual musky spots , caught some walleye n pike , then headed back out to main lake when it calmed down to target musky but no luck today. Looking forward to see some musky pics and reports !

I only got a pike and a bass, but we had lots of follows (about ten). They wouldn't bite, but they are there. Fished on Balsam.
