for me best is still single hook, minnow and split shot, but of course I fish inside only these days . never found need to go out yet
After fifty years icefishing all over Ontario and having tried endless new gimmicks along the way...I'd still have to completely agree with Shank...single hook (sized right), split shot and minnow (hooked right) will consistently get the job done....more times then not.
