Yup, try and keep your line of the bottom, keep it up at least 8 inches off the bottom or you will keep catching them.

Looks like they are in your area so you probably won't want to leave a line down overnight, they will climb up your line and get in your sleeping bag

Well the cold shut us down and we didn't see anything but Another mud puppy after 3 PM so final count 2 walleye five jumbos three mud puppies ..... good times had by everyone lots of ice but I think run and gun is the way to do that lake...

Definitely need to be mobile and run and gun. We tried 4 or 5 different spots and all produced fish. We will definitely go back next year.
