Sorry that I didn't get a weekly update out from last week. I have come down with the craziest cold/flu that I have had since childhood and life has been challenging for the last few days. I did manage to finish up this "HOW TO" video, though. This is how I like to make salted minnows which work very well on perch and other species. It adds flavor to the lure when you have run out of minnows or you have trouble keeping bait alive. They keep for a very long time. I see esoxrocks just asked about this. So...enjoy.

Just wondering which salt works the best in your opinion? Private message me if you like to keep it hush hush.

That is quite elaborate method.

Myself ..I just use Kosher salt and baggies and straight into freezer. They do not freeze due to salt. only use for chumming WF tho

The scents have me thinking

I generally use the finest Himalayan pink salt... The one with negative ions... Just Kidding! I use whatever salt is cheapest. The salt I use in the vid is just coarse picking salt.

Longshank, I leave them in the strainer to try to remove as much minnow juice as possible. This makes the minnows firmer so they stay on the hook better. If you are u are using it for chum then no point in all the extra steps.

When you open my container of salties it definitely gets you hungry.

KOKE - you are hilarious...
Agree with Fishchaser - couple of crackers and wine might go really well with those!
