Got out around 9:00 and of course as I am setting up, 2 big marks come onto the screen. 1 I think was a big laker and the other a nice size whitefish. Fished for a few hours and only marked a few fish. The whitefish looked like they were skipping over my spreader. Mark a few lakers, but none of them were willing to commit. A few chased, but broke off quickly and gone. Around noon a mark appears out of nowhere and I start to reel. He broke off 2 times, but on the 3rd he chased it from 110fow and hit around 60fow. Was a fun fight even though he wrapped himself in my spreader line. 7-8lbs and coughed up a 9" herring at the hole.

If you were out walking today you needed cleats for sure.

Stay safe out there and tight lines all.
