Well I will bring my Boy if the water isn't over his knees.

Thanks for the answer.

As for the awesome drill team are they for rent? I wouldn't mind having them just to watch my boy. 😜

This hurts to say as I was really looking forward to this event and meet you great people.

I can not bring my son out as the edge ice is just to crud and there is to much water for a 4 year old to walk around on.

I had a friend of mine who lives in Innisville check it out just to be sure and it just wasn't comfortable for me to bring my boy.

I guess I will have to wait for next year.

I had a good time at the M&G. The ice was solid as expected (approx. 15" and no snow or water on top so cleats were a must). There were some spots that had a bit of loose ice for about a half inch but no concerns. The boat launch access at the start was very walkable but very little water. More water at the end around 1pm, but still more than doable. First three feet were the worst.

Caught some perch, met some like minded people, enjoyed the day. A big thanks to Steelheader and all those who volunteered their time and efforts to put this on. I will definitely be back for future events.

What a beautiful day.....dang what a good job Dave and his band of organizers did to give us all a good day.....the weather was great and I finally got to meet some of the characters on this great board. I was late for lunch.....i downloaded the meet and greet instructions onto my phone to reference the days goings on and was starting to get hungry looked on the agenda and no lunch time was posted so headed in but was a hour late......I was the same as the fish....neither them or I got a bite in.......all was not lost I scored the last two pieces of smoked fish but missed the indian candy.....maybe next year....when I got in the draws were in progress and just got my hearing aids in to hear my number called.....thx to one of our sponsors I received a nice soft handled Rapala fillet knife with sharpener and three plastic Musky lures that I will use in Waubaushene this summer........speaking of which....I hope to be at the pike derby this spring and I think I will have to hook up with DB and do some summer fishing together as we share the same waters in the summer. You are all fine gents and proud to call you friends and fellow fishermen.......thx for a great day.
