Just wondering if anyone has stayed here during the winter for ice fishing? Booked a cabin Feb 2-4. Just wondering how it is and what to expect. Cheers

our group stayed there last year for a weekend … awesome accommodations & the hosts were wonderful people ..!! however the fishing was ultra slow.. we stopped at the Clansman motel & cottages on our way home (which is just around the corner) and they were far more knowledgeable regarding fishing tips and techniques

The bigger lakes can be hit an miss for action. If you know the area your better to get back into some of the back lakes for specks an splake a lot more action from my experience.

minnow line works best in my experience, although jigging is important. likely attracts them. the big lakes arent too bad if you find a decent spot. tiny tiny tiny hook.

If your staying at the Buttermilk Falls that is beside Halls lake, there is a small bait shop a short drive up the highway on Little Hawk Lake Road, called Krista's baits n" bites. They rent day huts on Halls Lake.

Want a whitefish, want a laker - go to Clansman Cottages on Boshkung Lake. Boshkung is the lake where the Buttermilk Falls release its water from Halls Lake. Pavel - the owner of Clansman is GOOD in business of ice fishing. He has his own way to bring fish under his ice huts, he is very knowledgeable with the lake and the icefishing is his passion. Find a webside of Clansman and ... you set to go.
