Had my Dad and brother (pictured) out for a few days of walleye and pike fishing. Walleye's were on fire - 70+ per day with many 20+. All released.
Pike fishing - different story. Very little weed growth with the cool temps and high water. We even hit the French river to explore the back bays. even there no growth. Water temps were high 50s to low 60s. we did catch a few 40 inch pike on jigs when walleye fishing

High 50's low 60's ?? should have weeds somewhere with that. Next time look for mud bottom parts of the lake/river where it heats up the fastest. There should be weeds in those areas no doubt.
