Hey Micheal; My theory is the cleaning is part of the venture, My share was 25 crappies ...that works out to just over an hour and one and a half "COORS" , we have to keep our priorities straight ..

Hey guys ; Thought I would post my fav baits and technics for crappies ..

I favor the jigs with the maribou with a bit of mylar added , when twitched it pulses and flares the maribou , drives the crappies nuts ..

Tube jigs also work great , small 1-1 1/2 " in white , natural and some times pink and white ..

Couple these with a small slip bobber if water over 6' , and the regular spring bobber works great in water under 4-5'

couple it all together with a clear 4 lb line and fire away ..cast, let settle , twitch, pause ..repeat ..

Seems as in all fishing the presentation is the key, some days slow retrieve , some quick ..keep experimenting till you find the magic combo

Then the hard part ...You have to find them..

My favorite rigs ..

Dave , your bang on with your choice of selection .

I must say the first one to the left is my favourite.

Once figured out the technique on twitch & jig , they are the most effective
Jig out there .

Very nice. I use the same gear and presentations for crappie.

Thanks for the tips..

Although my crappie spots are void of these little tasty critters at this time of year...
