So where do you guys plan on going on opener???

I'm probably going to good ol' callander bay. We'll see.

Excellent question Sterling.
I'll probably wait and see what the water temperature's are the opening weekend...then try to determine where I think the fish might be in relation to their spawn and usual seasonal movements.
But based on the ice, weather and water temperature predictions so far...Callander Bay may indeed be a productive location. We'll see how conditions progress.
Good luck....and certainly let everyone know how you did.

I will give west bay a go, also a number of spots throughout the west arm and also a little dock fishing where I can enjoy some cold ones for an afternoon.

fishing partner for opening weekend will be my daughter or flying solo, we keep the opening weekend quiet with just our family, then after that weekend the great friends and the party starts.

we will be in search of the almighty gator primarily! probably drop a line for some walleye but run and gun pike is my thing.

cheers and g.l.
