To me it looks like a cross of a perch and walleye should call the MNR.

Wow that is pretty wild! That would make a pretty tasty hybrid you'd imagine... like to know where this goes if mnr is contacted

Did it have any teeth ?
Definitely LOOKS like a hybrid of some sort.

Not too much about Perch/Walleye Hybrids online anywhere ? That means itís either extremely rare or not very plausible.

I would bet it is just a perch with some sort of defect.

Either way, super cool fish. Great story to tell !

had a few on cooch with weird or no stripes last season ... I agree it's due to all the sand.

Yep....seen that before, itís an inside-out perch! The stripes are on the inside. You must have set the hook too hard and turned it inside out!

Seriously I am just kidding, no idea why it is like that. Pretty cool though!

Cool ive seen Smallmouth with no markings and gold but never a perch . Different structure does effect the fish colour thats for sure. Who knows MNR can help

Had a buddy catch a perch and put it on the ice for about an hour. It was still alive but all itís bars disappeared. The fish looked just like the one in the pic. Strange.
