Hello everyone, so I have renewed my license online in the beginning of the new year, I didnít have a printer to print the copy of the renewed license. I took a picture on my phone, and i havenít received the new license in the mail yet. I do have the card valid till 2019. If the MNR Ask me for my license and I show the picture, will that be ok ?

Thanks for the help and tight lines !!!

As long as you have the digital receipt proof on your phone you will be good.

CALL AND CHECK, THERE IS DEFINITELY SOMETHING WRONG.(damn caps lock) Most customers receive their licence within 3 weeks, usually less than two from date of purchase. 6 weeks says something is wrong

I agree, I received mine within 7-8 days or so within the time of purchase. They are fairly quick at mailing them out.

Last time we went out my son had bought his Sport license for 2018 season and printed it off but did not sign it. MNR checked our license and told him it is not valid until it is signed, he gave him a pen to sign it right at our tent.

So I would say a picture is not a valid license because it is not signed, I would call and check with them.

I got mine in the mail box just shy of 3 weeks after my purchase online. And that was during the busy re-renewal season and Holidays. (purchased on last week of Dec 2017)

I second what others have said, call them to follow up.

Signed? I don't ever remember having to sign my fishing license. I have never done the temporary print out through purchasing online as I always renew in-store and you get the temporary yellow sticker type paper.

Maybe the online print outs are different, never knew.

The last 2 years I have renwed online, I never recieved anything through the mail though which is a pain. Have been stopped numerous times even when I forgot my wallet and id in the truck. MNR just asked name date of birth, address and they made a phone call on SAT phone, confirmed License was valid and that was that. MNR gave me a quick reminder to keep it on me, but were understandable when I checked my pockets and realized wallet was still in the glove box. i offered to boat back to the launch with them following (2 min drive) but a quick phone call and all was good
