Just love doing posts like this...Hereís mine never got a weight but I assume around 7-8 pounds, pic doesnít show how big she really was but here it is...

Looks like that salmon had its days ....

What time of year did you catch that ?

Nottawasaga steelhead .

Not my biggest , I will have to pull out some old photos .

Love the fish shots of them when fresh .

Easy to get ID wrong..

Both our Chinook and coho salmon have grey to black inner mouths ..Bows are pure white

Both chinook and coho can develop orange to pink colouration on the cheek patch, also can have a colour hue on their sides..

Bows have many small spots over the entire tail /back and head/cheeks

Coho salmon generally have larger spots,upper portion of tail and head

Chinooks have large spots thru upper part of body and over the entire tail

Easy to do, just remember mouth white = Bow, gray/black= Salmon

Big fat fresh fall hen. Didn't weigh this fish, but it had to be 14 pounds if not a little more...
