Hi,
A few more weeks are bass season opens

Heading over to Kawartha Highlands and doing some camping at Bottle Lake / Sucker Lake end of June wondering if anyone caught any bass in that lake? Not looking for location just wanted to know if all i would find is trout (from what I have read seems to be the dominate species).

Just looking to have a little fun with catch and release.

Thanks again and Hope everyone has a great day!

Lots of smallmouth bass in Bottle and Sucker Lakes.

Fish are generally small (12 inches or less) but relatively easy to catch on small plastics or spinners. Look for gravel or boulder shoals.

Reports of some lake trout if you go deep.

I used to go there in my early twenties. No I have a cottage so I don't go camping as much. Lots of bass. Decent size ones as well. it was end of summer......bass were quite wormy......some people are not bothered by that. Had fun with a top water frog type lure where the creek enters.
good luck.
