Hello, reporting in from my short trip on Stony today from 4:00 - 8:30 PM. Today was very hot and windy.

Caught 2 Bass (unintentional) and 4 Crappie while others in my party caught 2 more bass and 3 more Crappie. No measurements or weights but they were all good sized.

Started off fishing for Walleye but after nothing we switched to targeting Crappie and decided to fish that as we were able to locate them. Would have been nice to catch a Walleye after a long year but I'll be back soon enough!

Anyone else still chasing em or have y'all switched to Walleye?

I apologize for the bad pics, they do not do justice.

Edit: New report, scroll down.

Since I'll be done for a while, I headed out again today and this was the result. Good trip overall but sad I lost a HUGE Crappie by the side of the boat that was at least 1.5lbs. Didn't want to boat flip the guy with a bad hookset and thin lips.

Cooked up the first batch today and it tasted great!

I was using a slip bobber with jighead+all sorts of plastics (minnows, grubs, tubes). Slow retrieve with occasional pauses.

stony has been hit and miss for crappie this spring, some days you get none and then other days you get a boatload of them. Been fishing there since mid april.
