lou….you flatter me

anyhow we had a great time as usual up there and stayed 1 extra day which was a mistake cause the heat was unreal

took some time to get things done so fishing was cut in half for sure, but got out enough. Just got set up for lakers and barely went 100 feet and bang, a nice one, release as I thought well this will be easy...2 hrs later and I managed 1 bump

back for some food and did the evening thing for bass..lots on topwaters and decent fun size but no giants.....1 to 3 pounds was the norm

that was the same pattern for 4 days except for 1 laker that got my lure and I estimate that it was 16 pounds or so. got wrapped up several times near surface and finally my mono line gave out

also did some float fishing to get a decent meal of rock bass which took all of 30 minutes

just another great time and hated to leave. but back in 2 weeks for a longer stay.

Lou is safe for now.....it's in the fall I chase him

btw.bugs were ok, except on the 1 rainy day we had, then they were brutal

got some pics, but you all seen these before....same old, but will upload later anyhow

till next time

Hey man ; Sounds like you had a typical "Big Lou " venture ..Any time away and on the water with family or /and friends is time deducted from our "Life Clock" .. Lou will be ready to challenge you once again on your next trip ..

On the same , I'm off to Temagami in two weeks and this time armed with all the regular down rigging stuff and my new arsenal of "Vibratos" ..

Big bertha look out

Dave

Looks like it is time to man up to Big Lou now that he has taken to taunting you openly on the forum

For sure the biggest I ever had on in that lake and that's fishing it for 60 years

good to see nonetheless and better that it is still there.
