But will go to listen to some live music Friday night
Sorry for confusion
Be safe out there
aha!! gotcha! makes sense now!
no worries, be safe and good luck to you!
you almost have me convinced to head up to the tavern Friday night antique, sounds like a great night of music.

Thanks..? We will be in Marten river just after opening weekend ... And nothing as of yet up there but it won't be long especially if we get a good warm stretch... Good luck to you and play safe..
thank you fishmagnet!
you are a little further north at marten river right? I have a buddy goes there and talks about blackflies as well. they are barely a concern by our place.
mosquitos and deer flies are a much different story, lol

Don't have a place up there - wish I did, staying at Panorama Camp
Been going to Panorama Camp for about 14 years, if I invested in a place back then I would have had a place by now
First time in 10 years I will be there by myself, actually looking forward to it
small world antique, 15 years ago we stayed at camp Raymond for the first time right on the other side of the bridge in northwest bay, we continued to go there year after year for 5 years until we bought our place, we ended back on the west arm because we originally rented on the west arm prior to trying camp Raymond and liked the camp and people better in lavigne. here is our view now at sunset by the campfire

hope you get a boatload!!
It's tuff for us to find places to go because we have two whippets. We often talk about coming up to nip or just drive the 45 mins south from Marten river for the day.. We bring or own sheets and blankets to cover beds and furniture. We always leave the places we stay at cleaner then when we came... Our dogs are very low key and it does help with booking places and we have always been welcomed back after our first stays... Marten river is straight up 11 about 45mins and we been going up there for 22 years .. We one day hopeful we'll move up to the area...

This is my off year so we will not make it to the Nip but I will experience it vicariously through your posts. Look forward to hearing about catch size and rates since this is supposed to be the year we see the positive effect of the slot limit. May you feel the weight on your line that gets your heart rate racing, makes you catch your breath and agonize over what is on the other end..... Good luck to all, wish I was there but I will be next year. Tight lines!
