We went on our annual June trip to Nipissing. We all caught lots of pickerel and pike! While trolling for pickerellies along a shoal, I got snagged on
a "rock". As I was trying to get my lure off of the rock, the rock moved...lol
Took a bit to get this 56" Musky into the net ...
..caught on 12 lb test

Beautiful spawned out female...clearly on her post spawn recovery feeding binge. A bit thin for a fish of that substantial length...only because of the time of year she's been caught. But by late fall she will have filled her belly again and added maybe close to 10 more pounds of weight for wintering and egg production.
A true Nipissing trophy and a tremendous accomplishment on lighter line.
Well done Collingwood Dean.
