Fish Dump, Sturgeon Falls

Heard today a VERY DISTURBING report - hope like hell its not true. Seems some gill net fisherman (oxymoron gill nets & fisherman) have been dumping everything that is caught in a gill net - except walleye - somewhere around Sturgeon Falls.

Again prey this is not true, if it is its hurting all fisherman, regardless of color, race etc.

Can someone confirm?

This is not confirmation but I am not surprised. 13 ghost nets were found last summer on the lake. There are rebels that don't believe the rules apply to them and are ruining the sustainability for generations to come.

I don't recall where I saw it but last year I saw photos of a huge pile of fish dumped in a municipal landfill up around that area. Most of my info for Nipissing comes from here so I'm inclined to think it was a link posted on this board. Anybody else remember seeing this?

There do it all the time and bump all the fish at the bump on hwy 17 west. ...... it bull crap anf there is ###### all they can do about it .....

Curious to see if this is in fact happening or just more hate mongoring.
Not good if it is going on though.
I am guessing they would consider pike ,musky, perch etc as bi catch.
That would be a sad sight to see for sure

I know that this might not be pc. But it's interesting that the "animal activists don't seem to have much to say about an obvious waste like this, yet they'll lose their minds over much lesser offences, if this was a pile of pigs that died of heat exhaustion, We'd never here the end of it.
