Fishing head lake in haliburton just from canoe this weekend lauching from the governement docks in haliburton. Headed out for bass wondering if anyone has any tips! First time fishing the lake have fished lots of others in the area.

Well at least you won't wreck your prop I like black spinnerbaits at Head. Good crossover bait for Bass and walleye in the weeds. You also have a fighting chance if you bump in to a Musky.

I am about 15 minutes away and have fished it a few times.

I just fish the whole lake as itís pretty small. The bass move around and you donít really have specific areas they hold to. Cast and cover water. Grass lake is the next lake in the system. Same fishing there. Musky are not hard to come by but Big Musky are hard to find there. Lots of fish sub 30Ē in the Musky department.
