Up until now ice fishing was my favourite but with the purchase of a new boat at the boat show I can't wait for spring. I bought a new G3 guide v150 with a 40hp yamaha. Boat should fly and help me win the gold pike tournament this year.

Great Boat. I bet it will scoot along very well with 40 horse and being a light boat.

I would guess 31-33 mph on a GPS.

Let us know how quick she is. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Congrats. 👏👏👏

Nice thing on those motors is the electronic idle control.

Yea I'm hopeing for 1 mph trolling but being a light boat probably won't happen. And hopeing for around 30 mph I will let you know how she goes and what I caught on its maiden voyage

1 MPH, you'll need a drift sock or bucket to drag., I've got close to the same, 16' with the 40. A lot too depends on the prop you have, they had a 10x16 on there, way too much, couldn't get under 4 mph. I've gone down a few sizes, if you're interested I can go check.

I think 13 is standard and I'll lose some top end but I will use the boat for crownland camping and wanna get on plane fully loaded. I can't find a single video of how slow a boat with rpm trolling will go. Everyone wants to go fast! Lol
