Not trying to sell a g3 but I sat in 5 boats at the boat show prince craft resorter, lund 1400 and 1600 fury, mirrocraft and smokercraft. G3 price for quality was hard to beat and yamaha Financials rates where lower that all other lenders at the boat show.

Hey Dan

Well done on the boat. Sounds like the same as I have.

If it is a 4 stroke, trolls great and just sips gas.

boat came with 55lb thrust minn Kota .

Going to give it a try with that first see how it pulls .

I was looking into the iplot hummmingbird set up as well . What worried me was running two heavier batteries in the boat .

Sonar I will be running the same unit I do as through the ice season . Lowrance Elite 4 .
I have all my way points on it .

I purchased the summer skimmer transducer a while back When I bought the unit for ice fishing.

For the winter months I have the bell transducer for the ice .

So I just Switch the unit from the boat to lowrance ice bag .

Been running the same unit for 5 years now with no issues

Re iPilot remote control batteries. I might use 2 or 3 batteries in a full season. Fishing 4 days per week 8 hrs per day, constant use all day. Fishing is my job LOL (Retired)

I'm using a 24 volt 80 lb thrust bow mount minkotta on 16 ft aluminum misty river with 50 hp runs all day no problem with 2- 12 volt Walmart deep cycle batteries for trolling motor and seperate starting battery . I recharge all 3 with a minkotta on board charger plugged in as soon as I get home. 2- seasons on the batteries with no sign of power loss. The newer ipilot supposedly holds a fishing spot better with more advanced GPS , mine wanders quite a bit.
