Never heard of it, but the GTAA spring derby is on right now and some nice fish have been coming in so far!

It's in the Sarnia area.
Both the river and lower Lake Huron.

Will be out in the morning.
Port Franks weather permitting.
Last year I lucked out & won the Presidents Award. About a $350 prize.

We were out about the same amount of time, 1 small bow. There was 120 fish entered on Fraiday at the Port Franks weigh in station, that's about 1 fish per boat from the traffic I saw! Gota figure this lake out, what are all those fish on the sonar, it was black at times all depths big hooks bait balls, etc. Lakers, pickerel on the bottom coho on the top, salmon in the middle all feeding on bait, or carp and suckers heading for the river

We got one eye on Fri out of Port Franks.
Flatlining a reefrunner in 60 fow.
That was a surprize.
Nothing today in the river south of Sarnia.

Tomorrow looks OK to fish hopefully I can hook into something. Woodsman are you the one with the biggest walleye in the tournament? I heard on radio Friday someone had a ten lb walleye nice job.

Not me. But seen it at the weigh in station.
And it's been bested by a couple of oz's.
Only fish I've personally caught was today.
A 3.66 lb eye in the river at Sarnia.
Weather looks bad for the next 2 days which are the last I can fish the derby.
Fished yesterday out of Port Franks with no hits.
Water closer in was quite cloudy but marking lots of uncooperative fish.
Out in the clearer deeper water marked fewer fish which were also uncooperative.

We found a bunch of lakers last day of derby went 14 for 16 smallest was around 8 lbs biggest 15.40. I hear there starting a week later next year to increase the salmon catches. Always a fun derby.
