Hello again my friends. Oh Wow what a beautiful day to be on the water for Pike and Walleye opener! Only one problem though, the water is still frigid with temps between 45 and 50" degrees, not exactly ideal for Walleye and Pike.
This being my maiden voyage of the season I'm always a bit nervous about putting the boat in the water, fear of it not starting or springing a. Leak ,lol.
Most seasons the motor usually starts on the first turn of the key, well that was not the case today. It took me approximately 20 minutes to get it
going today as some nimrod left the sparkplug wire unattached to the plug this past fall daaaa! After putting it back on its pretty amazing how an engine will start! Lol
Now on With the fishing, the Walleye bite was non existent, the pike were a little more cooperative,I landed four and had five or so chasers.Kept two for the pan and released a pair that were beaten up from the spawn.
I was also very pleased with my new addition to the boat the lowrance hook 7.Certainly adds colour to the boat. All in all a pleasant opener on the water, hopefully a great season ahead!

I know........ 1 point loss.. Heart breaking. Ball rolling around the rim.

Don't kick yourself too hard.. I did the same with my lawnmower.. Nearly pulled my arm off, before I noticed the spark plug wire was off..
