Oh Wow! Its finally arrived, the Walleye bite that I've waited for all winter!
After a couple of cancelled fishing expeditions with The Mr.Steelheader ( Dave) we finally were able to hook up on Tuesday in quest for that Walleye beast.
Once again the weather man and his 10 percent chance of showers was bang on as we fished the first four hours of the day in a steady pelting rain!! Of course somebody forgot their own rain gear at home and was stuck with their wife's pretty raincoat, better him than me! Lol
Dave and I combined for nine Walleye on the day with a Beautiful 27 incher which was the only one we could keep as the others were all slot size fish that had to be released.I certainly wasn't complaining as that five pound beauty would be great table fare.
Dave too would bring home a meal for him and the wife as he hooked into a very nice Brown bullhead.
The fight of the day was an outstanding freshwater Drum or Sheepshead which tipped my scale past 18 pounds!!! Wow
After that day and working the early shift the next morning there was no way I was missing out on an evening fish, leave the laundry, dishes cooking and everything else and be out again!
Man am I glad I did,I hooked and landed another eight Walleye including my best of the season a 28 .75 inch 8 pound Beauty!!! Who needs ice fishing now?!! Have a Crappie Day!
PS.I screwed up the date it was May 15! Lol

Nice Dale and Dave, the drum and the 28.5 incher are beasts

Dave kinda reminds me of my grandmother in his raingear

Hey guys ; After all the remarks from passing anglers and Dales envious remarks on the wifes rain coat I might just put in the silent auction at our next meet and greet , should raise " HUGE " $$$

Hey it saved my day , tucked away in a side pocket in my truck .. Kept me dry ..

Next trip out wer'e looking for those 15 3/4 " eyes ..

Another great day for the D & D team ..

Dave
