Very unfortunate and sad news to read. These are the type of posts that we all never want to see / hear about.

A definite eye opener for all of us on the HW (no matter where),, that even with the prior extreme cold temps its not safe everywhere & a reminder that ice conditions can change quickly & at any time.

My condolences to the family & friends of the outdoorsman who passed away.

Apparently the person who died was a firefighter. No ice is safe ice. be aware out there always

My sister is a teacher and this man was one of her students' father. from the sound of it, they weren't going fishing, they were crossing the lake to look at places to retire in, on the lake.
