hoping for some advice on any known dangerous areas on rosseau. We’ll be near Joseph River - do you know if the current is heavy there? Thanks.

To my knowledge water flows from Joe to Rosseau to Muskoka so I would assume there is current there . There is alot of current under the bridge in Port Sandfield as the cut is narrow . I have pictures of snowmobiles running the open water under the bridge.

There are pressure cracks in the area of the Joe River where it outlets into Lake Rosseau and these should be your biggest concern. I have not been on the ice there since last weekend but it was solid everywhere but at the pressure cracks then.

There is current around Joe River, certainly watch where you’re going. Seen many people rescued in that area.
