Myself and some buddies stayed with them about 4-5 years ago. We were treated excellent, huts were in great shape. The fishing in the hut was not really the best, it was tough fishing all weekend actually but one day they did bring us out to a new spot where we caught 10-15 smaller walleye in a very short time.
Good luck and enjoy your trip I'm sure you will not be dissapointed

We got 2 supers rented Jan 18-21. Coming up with 11 guys, good crew. Normally hit up Beaverland on Marten Lake for ice fishing, switching er up this year staying on ice.

Bringing a couple sleds and an auger so we'll be mobile if the bites off in the huts. I'm sure ya won't be able to miss us lol.

Awesome! You guys have to come to the fire on the ice! It’s always a great time since the bite usually lags at night

I have a group of only 4 in a super bungalow from the 8-12 for the first time during the week and we are already loosing sleep from excitement, we are excited to have the extra space and time and hope that going earlier than usual we can get some better luck actually catching fish, the past 4 years we have been going we don't seem to catch many fish but its still hard not to have a great time so we will see what happens this year. if we can figure it out, we will try to do some live updates from the lake.

03Canes our group is headed to Beaverland in Feb .. how is the fishing generally up there? we have had the same group together for years now and went to Nip for the majority of it , but have been travelling around in recent years.. we aren't considered old yet , but we thought we better get a look at a few other lakes cause you never know when it could be your last trip…. to keep things upbeat… what an awesome start to the season we've been having… !!

Cheers Boys
Jeff

Hit and miss really. The fishing was slow all year last year on Marten Lake. Mike moved the huts to new grounds that were rather slow. Caught mostly transient fish. He's putting them back to the same spot as 2 years ago, which was good action in the huts and outside closer to shore on our AF's, makes for an interesting afternoon running for your rod. He's a great operator that's more then accommodating to your group. He'll punch holes where ever you want them outside the huts.

The slot is different 16.9-23.5. The 14-16 eyes are great eating out of the Marten. Best of luck, let me know how ya make out.

I'm sure we'll take you up on the offer, many thanks!!

Any word on the ice thickness where he puts the bungalows? Just planning the trip and whether or not we're driving the trucks out.

Thanks!
